"Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world." James 1:27
We are so blessed. A warm house with a roof over our heads, food to eat, God's Word so easily accessible, clothes to wear - we have so much more than so many throughout the world. Children living in poverty, one set of clothes, no warm jackets or blankets, leaky cold roofs and homes, barely enough food to eat, without a parent's love. How I (Michelle) have yearned to provide a home for another child in need. We have so much, yet sometimes we feel like we have not quite enough. It is all in comparison... comparison to America's standards or the world? I have confidence that the Lord would provide all we need, just waiting on God alone to move in Joseph's heart as well to desire to adopt and waiting on the Lord to show us how....
It has been a long journey over the past 5 years of prayer and waiting upon the Lord in the passion He has put upon our hearts to adopt. As many of you know, after 3.5 years of desiring to adopt from Ethiopia the Lord redirected our steps and our hearts to India. To help others know more of our story of adopting we posted some of the process we have been through these past years and the process we are in now...hope you enjoy and this journey brings all glory to our God!
"And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8
