The Choice

The Choice

The highs and lows of this life,
The Pain - the tearing of my heart in death.
Yearning of waiting, not losing hope;
Unanswered prayers, so it seems.
Heartbreak, the deep ache within my body -
ever present, waiting to erupt.
Confusion over the 'whys' of this life,
the questions without answers.
Trusting in His sovereignty - even when I don"t comprehend.

Choosing to Trust,
Choosing to obey His commandments,
Choosing to walk after The Lord,
Choosing to follow His statues,
Choosing to give Him all my heart,
Choosing to give Him all my soul.
He holds me completely in His hands,
The Creator of my life.

Experiencing His purposes cultivate unfathomable joy
And peace.
I commit to Him everything -
the anger, the hurt, the insecurities, the virtuous and the vile.
Choosing to follow and trust My Maker.

"The king stood by the pillar and made a covenant before the Lord, to walk after the Lord, and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes with all his heart and all his soul, to carry out the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people entered into the covenant." 2 Kings 23:3
