July 2009 - The Lord began moving in my heart and giving me a heart and a desire for adoption.
1.5 years of seeking God for confirmation and praying for us both to be united and know adoption is what the Lord desired for our family.
November 2010 - Joseph and I received clear confirmation to begin the adoption process.
January 2011 - Began to adoption process for Ethiopia.
4 Years Later - WAITING...PRAYING...WAITING...PRAYING
January 2015 - Knew the Lord wanted us to move to begin to adopt from India
March 2015 - Received a Referral of a Beautiful 3 year old girl from India! (On Jessica's Birthday! A beautiful gift from the Lord to Jessica as she has waited and prayed so long for her sister to come!)
A Referral!
Yes! It brings us great joy and praise to share that we are in the midst of finalizing our dossier paperwork and in the process of adopting a 3 year old precious girl from India! We know so many of you have followed us in this journey these past 4 years and prayed for us so faithfully. We have so much joy to see the Lord's promises unfolding after so many years of trusting and waiting upon Him. There are so many confirmations He has blessed us with in showing us this is the little girl He has for our family... and we know His ways are worth the wait...she is worth the wait...
Our faith and trust in His timings, not giving up and losing hope in the promises we know He has given us, and experiencing true peace from Him alone in this journey He has given us, experiencing His power in ways we never would have before.
Please continue to pray with us for this process... that the process would move smoothly and quickly... that we would be able to bring her home to her forever family soon. Pray all the paperwork is done correctly and our dossier can make it to India soon - so the court/adoption process can officially begin! We are praying that we can bring our little one home by Christmas!
Hello Michelle. So good to know you thgrough your profile on the blogger. I am glad to stop by your blog post and after seeing India's flag became more curious to see what it is. I am glad to kow that you are in the process of adopting one child from India. I am so moved by going through the statistices regarding children and their state in India. I am from Mumbai, India and have been in the Pastoral ministry for last 37yrs in this great city of Mumbai a city with great contrast where richest of rich and the poorest of poor live. We reach out to the poorest of poor with the love of Christ to bring healing to the broken hearted. We do have unique ministry amongst slums children and that is of Kindergarten for the age group of 3to 5yrs children in the slums where parents are not interested to send their kids in the school rather are interested to take them for work and thus they are deprived of school apportunities as well this encourages child labour. Since more of the children in the slums are malnuourished we do have nutrition program for them where by we provide them nutritious food during their time with us for Kinidergarten. We also encourage young and the adults from the West to come to MUMBAI to work with us during their vacation time. We would love to have young people from your church to come and work with us during their vacation time. God willing I will be coming to States in the month of August and will be so glad to stop by yuor town.city and share more about the program of short. long term missions trip opportunities for the young people and adults.
