Remembering to Pray

"I am the vine; you are the branches.  If you remain in me, and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me, you can do nothing." John 15:5

Finished the Dossier Paperwork last night!  The Lord has blessed us with amazing people to help us with all the paperwork.. from sweet friends to do our references, a great social worker for the homestudy and an amazing woman who did all our notarization last night!  We searched and searched for a notary - and then finally prayed!  You would think I would pray first.... God just gently reminds me again and again... to pray to Him about everything, even the little details!  After prayer He led us to a recommendation from a new friend we met on a yahoo board for So. CA Ethiopian adoptions.  The woman is a believer and has such a heart to help us.  She quoted me a very low price for all the notary work and then as we met she insisted on an even lower amount as a blessing to us.  We were so thankful and as we gave her the money she shared how it would go directly into an account for her daughter who is going on a Missions trip to Uganda this summer.  What a blessing to know the Lord will use that money to further His kingdom and bless her daughter as well.

We just continue to be in awe of how the Lord's hand is in this every step of the way... in the big details and the tiny details.  We will meet with our social worker Monday and finish the homestudy!   The paperwork is nearing completion and then we begin to wait.....  Thanks for continuing to journey with us and praying!

  1. It's so true...He loves for us to pray about everything. That way we are walking with Him and trusting Him all day long. Thank you for sharing this story! Such a good reminder.
